| $Buck | 2006-08-31 | Caramel Apple (Vanilla) |
3.1 | Westfield, NJ | I never thought I would rate anything from Cheeburger this low but this situation calls for it. After being disappointed that they were out of the ingredients to make a strawberry shortcake shake I settled on caramel apple. Unfortunately there was no hint of caramel or apple. I'd like to think they mistakenly gave me a plain vanilla but this could have been just a weak mix. Either way, very disappointing. |
| Jimbo (aka Scott, aka other things) | 2006-06-23 | Banana Split (Vanilla) |
8.5 | Lawrenceville, NJ | Delicious, creamy, great attention to details with the syrupy strawberries and nuts and choco syrup. TONS of banana! Very impressive. Only drawback was it was a bit too sweet...and, of course, as has been noted, price. |
| Doug | 2006-05-28 | Three Musketeers (Vanilla) |
4.3 | West Nyack, NY | So I went to get a milkshake, and tried to order a 3 muskateers even though the past 4 times they did not have it. This time they claimed they did! So, I excitedly waited while it was made. I got the shake. I tasted it. It tasted almost exactly like a vanilla shake. I wondered why. Wouldn't a 3 Muskateers bar be nougat surrounded by chocolate? I was hoping that like their other candy bar shakes, they would have thrown in actual candy bars. No. I watched them make this shake. They had some squeeze bottle of nougat that they squeezed into a tin cup of about 4 scoops of ice cream...and that was it. An average shake, loses points from the halfway mark due to the lack of chocolate. |
| Marcel | 2006-05-06 | Butterscotch (Vanilla) |
5.0 | Westfield, NJ | The consistency was nice, but the shake was very light on the butterscotch flavor. |
| RottenJohn | 2006-04-30 | M&M (Chocolate) |
9.0 | Westfield, NJ | I gave this milkshake a 9 because it was delicious. Plenty of chocolate candies that melted in my mouth and a right mixture of ice cream and milk. Much better than your average diner quality. However, since it was my first cheeburger milkshake, I do not want to give it a 10. |
| Doug | 2006-04-25 | Almond Joy † (Chocolate) |
0.0 | West Nyack, NY | If I wanted a chocolake shake why would I have asked for an almond joy malted? |
| $Buck | 2006-04-06 | Dirty Dan's Dirt Pie (Chocolate) |
9.1 | Westfield, NJ | Talk about being in the right place at the right time. While Cheeburger is always the right place to be, the right time was Thursday night. An accidental acquisition of some vanilla pudding allowed for the introduction of this delightful shake. Despite the base it was not overly chocolaty as I had feared. Instead the smooth pudding taste really came through. Great stuff. |
| Rob | 2006-03-19 | Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter (Chocolate) |
7.5 | West Nyack, NY | Chocolate? Check Peanut butter? Check Banana? Banana? Anyone? If I wanted a chocolate peanut butter shake, this would have been a 9, but I wanted chocolate banana peanut butter, and the banana was nowhere to be found. |
| Doug | 2006-03-28 | Butterfinger † (Vanilla) |
8.5 | West Nyack, NY | After being told of the demise of the three muskateers shake at this location, the waiter suggested this shake. I took it and it was pretty good. The shake requires some crunching of the candy bar but the flavor accents the malt very well. |
| Jake | 2006-03-15 | Key Lime (Vanilla) |
6.3 | Westfield, NJ | Bleh. Very bland, and tasted almost like lemon yogurt - I understand lemon and lime are close in flavor but this tasted nothing like Key Lime pie. I don't know if there was supposed to be a crust flavor mixed in there, but there wasn't. Also it was way too thick, when I tried to pour it into my cup, it all plopped out at once and I lost 1/4 of it onto the table. |
| Tyler | 2006-03-12 | S'mores (Chocolate) |
8.1 | Westfield, NJ | I'll start by saying that the S'mores was talked up quite a bit, so I was expecting a lot. Unfortunately they didn't have any vanilla ice cream, so I had to go with the chocolate base. I think this may be the main reason that it wasn't quite as great as expected. The chocolate base was pretty overwelming and seemed to mask both the marshmellow and graham cracker taste. Overall though it was really good and I'm interested to try the vanilla. |
| Doug | 2006-03-16 | Neapolitan † (Vanilla) |
8.7 | West Nyack, NY | An excellent shake. Upon first taste, you could immediately taste the chocolate. But then, it hit you, the subtlety of the strawberry and malt. There were a few small chunks of real strawberry too. Unfortunately, as with any shake that includes chocolate, the chocolate took over the other 3 flavors, which is the only reason that this did not score higher. A great shake. |
| $Buck | 2006-03-15 | California Blend (Vanilla) |
8.3 | Bel Air, MD | A very smooth blend of strawberry, banana and raspberry, you really have to be in the mood for this. Being as how I had a sore throat I wasnt looking for anything too bold, and this was very soothing. The strawberry flavor stood out the most, but it wasnt overpowering. All around a good mix of flavor. |
| k8 | 2006-03-13 | Mango Peach (Vanilla) |
7.5 | Westfield, NJ | I'm not a huge fan of fruity drinks but I tried this one that my friend ordered. If I didn't know any better I would have guessed there was alcohol in this one because that's exactly what it tasted like. It was pretty good and probably would be even better on a warmer night. Thanks again, Jimbo. |
| k8 | 2006-03-13 | Chocolate Raspberry (Chocolate) |
9.5 | Westfield, NJ | I went in originally wanting a Chocolate Mint but, much to my dismay, Jimbo informed me they were out of Green Mint. He suggested this one so I said why not. I was pleasantly surprised by this concoction. You didn't actually taste the raspberry until you swallowed heh heh. All in all it was a perfect mixture of chocolate and raspberry. Thanks, Jimbo. |
| Jake | 2006-03-12 | Chocolate Covered Banana (Chocolate) |
6.2 | Westfield, NJ | Not bad. It was the thickness I like, and expect, from a milkshake, but the flavor was kind of bland. They were out of Vanilla ice cream, and being that I'm not a huge chocolate fan, I knew that my shake would not be as stellar as I was hoping. The banana flavor was very subtle, so it really just tasted like a chocolate shake. Slightly disappointed. |
| Kevin | 2006-03-13 | S'mores (Chocolate) |
7.6 | Westfield, NJ | This was my first trip to Cheeburger Cheeburger, and thus, my first milkshake. Therefore, it'll set the standard by which I judge all future milkshakes. Unfortunately, vanilla ice cream was unavailable, so went with the chocolate base. My experience was similar to Brian's "raspberry cheesecake" experience, where the chocolate base stole a lot of the flavor of the probably delicious milkshake. With a vanilla base I am sure this would be at least 1.5 points higher. The fact is, I barely tasted graham cracker and only occasionally tasted marshmallow. I look forward to having this again with a vanilla base, but will most likely try others first. |
| $Buck | 2006-03-12 | Hazelnut (Chocolate) |
5.3 | Westfield, NJ | First let me say that I have never had hazelnut other than a flavored coffee. Can't say I know what it really even is. That said I was still disappointed with this shake. It really had very little flavor and tasted like a standard chocolate shake. Chocolate seems to be overpowering but a vanilla base was not an option as they had run out of vanilla. Therefore I was disappointed in this experience. If Cheeburger ever pulls a stunt like this again I may have to reconsider going there so often. Put an asterisk by this shake as it could have been good had it not been for the ice cream blunder. |
| $Buck | 2006-03-07 | S'mores (Vanilla) |
9.4 | Westfield, NJ | Having already highly rated the apple pie shake this was a tough call as this is all I could hope for in anything ice cream based. You have marshmallow fluff, graham cracker, chocolate and vanilla ice cream blended together to create a delicious flavor combo that I am going to say can not be beat. But, that story to be continued... |
| Nick | 2006-03-07 | Oreo (Vanilla) |
7.6 | Westfield, NJ | Not a bad shake, but it was a little too thin for my taste. I would have also liked to see more clumps of real Oreo cookies. As time went on and the shake melted a bit, it was kind of like drinking sloppy cookies and cream ice cream. My recommendation is that you down it promptly for the best shake experience. |
| Doug | 2006-03-07 | Maple Walnut † (Vanilla) |
4.8 | Westfield, NJ | Very thick and while the walnut factor was high, there was little maple flavor. Also, there was no malt tasted at all. Quite a disappointment. |
| $Buck | 2006-03-04 | Apple Pie (Vanilla) |
9.2 | West Nyack, NY | Tasted almost exactly like what it says, if you like apple pie this is a delicious shake. Very smooth texture with a lot of flavor. Only downside is having to consume 70+ more milkshakes before getting to try this again. |
| JTsyo | 2006-02-23 | Snickers (Vanilla) |
5.4 | Westfield, NJ | Not sure if it was the ice cream or the snicker bar but something was off. This milkshake just didn't do it for me. |
| $Buck | 2006-02-23 | Nerds (Vanilla) |
8.6 | Westfield, NJ | Went in with a bit of skepticism... left with a great taste in my mouth. Takes getting used to having to chew the Nerds candy, but the shake went down surprisingly smooth. Candy was not too hard and added the right amount of flavor burst to complement the already good tasting vanilla base. |
